Glen Owen-bio

After graduating from the University of Georgia (where he also played on the Bulldogs S.E.C. championship basketball team) with a degree in Film, Owen moved to Atlanta to pursue his dreams of becoming a filmmaker. Soon after, TNT asked him to helm as well as write a campaign for the NFL on TNT. Owen went on to serve as Associate Creative Director for Sports Promotion for TNT, where he continued to turn out work for the NFL and NBA. While at Turner, Owen coined the phrase “Win. Or Go Home” for the NBA Playoffs.

Owen directs and often writes large scale network promos, branded content and national and regional commercials (Ford,Pizza Hut, Subway, Coke, MAXFLI, M64 Beer and many others.) He also has worked for networks like TNT, TBS, Discovery, ESPN, TLC, Disney Channel, Animal Planet, and Nat Geo. Brand clients have included Mastercard, Visa, Microsoft, General Motors, Home Depot, Lowes, Disney World, Dominoes, Geico, Xbox, and many more.

Owen also directed and Exec. Produced “My Manny”, a 40 episode Micro-Series airing on TBS, and “Gillian in Georgia” which aired 10 episodes on TBS.

Owen also has two feature projects in development: MONEY, LOVE (adapted by Owen from Brad Barkley’s acclaimed novel) and SIGNING DAY, an comedy written by Owen about the crazy world of big time college football recruiting.
